A Talk on the Basics of Entrepreneurship and Ideation and a Visit to FiiRE New Office
On the 28th of September, a talk on the Basics of Entrepreneurship and Ideation was organised by the E-Cell of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, for first-year E-Cell students. The speaker for this session was Mr. Thejus Joseph, COO of FiiRE, and was held at Presentation Convent, Margao. After a brief welcome by Mr. Joseph, attendees were given a tour of the co-working spaces and the medical labs and facilities of the centre. Mr. Namdev, in his talk, emphasised the importance of having passion and the mind-set to want to make a difference. Mr. Thejus spoke about the generation of ideas and the practical aspects of entrepreneurship.
They explained the importance of interacting with the world to promote curiosity and acquire experience in the realm of entrepreneurship. Getting your hands dirty and sowing the seeds of entrepreneurship is the key to being successful, along with nurturing those seeds so they bear fruit. Having an innovative idea isn’t the only important thing; it’s how one carries it forward and develops it.
Next, Mr. Thejus put into practice, and demonstrated the idea generation techniques that were taught to the students in creative thinking and innovation classes. An interactive session led to a lot of unique and creative ideas being bounced around, giving the students a feel of how ideas are generated among teams of people. Many of them listened in awe, as this was one of first times they had the opportunity to participate in a truly productive session.
Attendees had an enriching experience, conversing among classmates, as well as the concepts of idea generation coming to life in an atmosphere of individuals filled with team spirit and the desire to learn more. Overall, it was a highly interactive session, with the speakers addressing the questions of every student and assisting them in taking the next step toward entrepreneurship. It is solely the contribution of the individual as well as the desire and will to be successful that will eventually drive the individual to greatness.
