Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, Department of Science and Humanities and IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Committee), organised a Guest Talk on Generative AI and Prompt Engineering on Monday, 14 October 2024 at 12:00 noon in Seminar Hall 2, for the students of First Year Mechanical, ECS and Computer Engineering. The host for the day was Mr. Ashley Fernandes from FE Mech, who also introduced the speaker Ms. Oindrilla Chatterjee, Digital Innovation and AI Lead at Adage Automation Pvt. Ltd. The speaker put forward a brief introduction on AI such as ChatGPT, Dille-3 etc.

The speaker emphasised on the topics such as Foundation models, Language models, key techniques to customise LLMS and prompt engineering i.e., Comparing online v/s In-person classes. Overcoming hallucinations by using RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) was also an important topic which was highlighted. Attendees looked through some factual case studies. The speaker spoke about Future of Gen AI such as trends and research areas and Compound AI systems. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks thanking the organisers, guest speakers and attendees.
