ROBOCOM at DBCE, Goa – IGNITRON

The Robotics Club, ROBOCOM, of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, under the mentorship of Prof. Flavia Leitao, Robotics Club Coordinator, participated for a two day Technical event IGNITRON at DBCE, Goa, on 21^st and 22^nd February 2024.

The Ignitron Robotics Competition, held at Don Bosco College of Engineering, is a distinguished college-level event that featured the participation of Team Robocom in two specific events: Line Following Robots and Robo Racers.

Team Robocom entered two teams in the Line Follower category, each comprising of four members. One team was led by Yash Kochrekarm along with Sherwin Dias, Fay Antao and Sancha Gomes and the other team by Jeremy Gilbert along with Piyush Suthar, Allanry and Diya Shanbhag. The challenge required the robots to follow a line with precision and speed. Jeremy Gilbert’s team emerged victorious, securing the 1st place with their robot’s outstanding performance.

In the Robo Racer event, which involved navigating through an obstacle course, Team Robocom was represented by two teams. The first team was led by Royden Barretto, and the second by Mazen Leitao along with Preston Dsilva, Merrill Dias and Bibisifhat. Both teams showcased their engineering and programming skills, performing exceptionally well in this thrilling competition.

Team Robocom’s engagement in the Ignitron Robotics Competition’s Line Following Robots and Robo Racers events demonstrated their commitment and technical expertise. Their achievement, particularly the 1st place in the Line Following Robots category, was commendable. Congratulations to Team Robocom for their impressive performance and contributions to the field of robotics.
