NDLI Session on Driving Industry Projects with Agile Project Management

The Dept. of Computer Engineering and the Library, DBCE in association with the National Digital Library of India Club organized a Session on “DRIVING INDUSTRY PROJECTS WITH AGILE PROJECT MANAGEMENT” by Mr. Damodar Pai Patnekar, an industry expert, having vast experience in driving technology-driven projects across various domains. The session was organized for the SE and TE Computer Engineering students of DBCE, on 24th January 2025. A total of 12 club members registered for the event.
The session detailed the core principles of Agile, including iterative development cycles, and the importance of regular retrospectives for continuous improvement. He explained that companies across various sectors, including technology, healthcare, finance, and manufacturing, have embraced Agile to improve project delivery. Agile enables organizations to respond quickly to market changes, reduce risks, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. By focusing on incremental development and frequent iterations, Agile ensures that project teams can pivot when necessary, delivering high-quality products and services more efficiently. He went on to state several companies that have successfully implemented Agile methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
The session saw active participation from students, who engaged in discussions and Q&A sessions. The talk was insightful and provided students with practical knowledge about Agile project management. The event was successfully organized and coordinated by Ms. Siya Khandeparkar, Assistant Professor and NDLI Co-ordinator- Dept. of Computer Engineering.
