DBCE FSAI students visit GOA Occupational Safety and Health Summit – 2025

The student members of Fire Safety and Security Association of India (FSAI) Chapter of Don Bosco College of Engineering attended the 1st Goa Occupational Safety and Health Summit – 2025 on 12th April 2025, a three-day event organized by the Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers, Government of Goa at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Bambolim, Goa. The summit served as a significant opportunity for students to gain firsthand exposure to the latest technologies, practices, and discussions in the field of occupational safety and health.
The summit featured a wide range of themes focusing on Behavioral-based safety approaches, Fire safety advancements, AI in safety monitoring, Disaster management in manufacturing, Ergonomic solutions, Safety in informal sectors, Emerging challenges due to climate change. A comprehensive exhibition showcased safety solutions, equipment, and services from leading industry players across India.
The students actively participated in the event, engaging with exhibitors, and networking with industry professionals. They also had the privilege to attend a technical session on the “Safe Household Use of LPG”, which emphasized Proper storage and handling of LPG cylinders, Common household hazards and preventive measures, Emergency response and fire safety at home and Awareness and education for safer communities.
Dr. Suraj Marathe, HoD- Mechanical and faculty coordinators of the FSAI chapter, Prof. Ajit Salunke and Prof. Aniket Naik accompanied the students at the expo.
