Second Year Mechanical Engineering Students DBCE visit GOA Occupational Safety and Health Summit – 2025

On 12th April 2025, second-year Mechanical Engineering students from Don Bosco College of Engineering visited GOA Occupational Safety and Health Summit – 2025 at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Bambolim, Goa.

The students participated actively in the event, engaging with various exhibitors and networking with professionals from the industry. They also had the opportunity to attend an informative session on “Handling of Chemicals in Industry and Chemical Hazards,” where they gained insights into the critical role of personal protective equipment (PPE) in industrial settings. The second session, titled “Safe Household Use of LPG,” was conducted by Mr. Vithoba Gad, Safety Officer at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited. He highlighted key topics such as the proper storage and handling of LPG cylinders, common household hazards and their prevention, emergency response and fire safety at home, and the importance of community awareness and education for ensuring safety.

Dr. Chetan Gaonkar, Prof. Anish Bandekar and Mr. Dattaguru Sawardekar accompanied the students at the expo.
