DBCE Inaugurates Procyon 2025

The inaugural ceremony of Procyon 2K25, the much-anticipated inter-class cultural festival, commenced with grandeur and enthusiasm. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, and students, all gathered to mark the beginning of a vibrant and enriching celebration of talent and creativity.

The Chief Guest, Ms. Sonia Shirsat, and the Guest of Honour, Mr. Aakash Mangeshkar, arrived, receiving a warm welcome from the organizing committee.

Following the welcome of the dignitaries, they participated in the symbolic act of watering the plants, signifying growth, sustainability, and prosperity. This ceremonial gesture underscored the values of care, dedication, and the promise of a thriving future.Bouquets were presented to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour as a token of appreciation. Additionally, a rose was presented to each of the distinguished dignitaries as a mark of respect and gratitude.

Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, the Director, addressed the gathering, reflecting on the growth of the institution and the importance of leadership and vision. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Aakash Mangeshkar, shared valuable perspectives and experiences. Prof. Janhavi Naik introduced the Chief Guest, followed by an address by Ms. Sonia Shirsat, where she delivered an insightful speech on the occasion.

The Chief Guest and Guest of Honour unveiled the Procyon 2K25 souvenir. This was followed by the ceremonial release of balloons, marking the commencement of the festival. The Chief Guest officially declared Procyon 2K25 open.

The General Secretary, Mr. Sherwin Laurenco, briefed the gathering on the objectives and highlights of the festival, encouraging students to participate actively and make the most of the event. As a gesture of appreciation, mementos were presented to the esteemed guests

The Cultural Secretary, Mr.Sydney Dourado, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their contributions in making the event a success.

The ceremony concluded with a special performance by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. Their performance added a memorable touch to the inauguration.
