On July 10th, 2025, at 9:30 am, Rector Fr. Ralin De souza addressed the staff of DBCE, focusing on the belonging to the Salesian Community. Fr. Ralin welcomed everyone and began by sharing about Jesus, the Good Shepherd, emphasizing the importance of love, kindness, and gentleness in educational experiences.

Fr. Ralin’s talk was based on the Salesian shepherd-educator model, which prioritizes working together and sharing responsibilities between educators and students. He said that educators should work collaboratively with young people, rather than following a strict system, to help each individual reach their full potential.

The talk also touched on the Educational Pastoral Council (EPC), a platform where young people can come together, share experiences, and grow in a supportive environment. Fr. Ralin emphasized the importance of listening to each other, understanding each other’s needs, and working together in a way that values each person’s contribution.

The session was engaging and interactive, with games and reflection sessions that provided a welcome to the new semester and encouraged active participation. The talk concluded with a prayer, followed by a cup of tea and informal discussions. Overall, Fr. Ralin’s talk provided valuable insights into the importance of working together, caring for each other, and creating a supportive environment in education.
