An engaging alumni talk was delivered by Ved Kerkar from the 2021–2025 batch alumni and Melrich Moraes (current final year student) of Don Bosco College of Engineering, on 18th July 2025. The talk was organised in association with C-CODES (Council of Computer Department Engineering Students) and DBCE alumni committee.

The speaker shared their journey from a student to a professional, with an aim to inspire current students. He spoke highly of the college’s vibrant life, including events, clubs, and technical activities. The faculty’s constant support and mentorship were appreciated for academic and career growth.

Students were encouraged to participate in competitions, internships, and entrepreneurial ventures. Key concepts like programming, databases, and soft skills were emphasized as essential foundations. The speakers highlighted major college events such as INSPIRUS, Project Expo, and cultural fests.

An interactive Q&A allowed students to clear doubts and gain clarity on career paths. Overall, the session was motivating and strengthened alumni-student engagement. The faculty coordinator for the talk was Prof. Merwyn D’Souza.
