Open Mic Session: ‘My Dream for Every Girl’ by Dhrishni – Women’s Cell

The Department of Science and Humanities, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, organized an engaging Open Mic Session titled “My Dream for Every Girl” on 11 October 2025 to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child. The event aimed to celebrate the strength, courage, and potential of every girl and to encourage meaningful dialogue on gender equality and empowerment.



The session began with a brief introduction to the significance of the International Day of the Girl Child, which highlights the need to empower girls and promote gender equality. Staff members enthusiastically participated, sharing personal reflections, poems, and inspiring thoughts about their dreams for a world where every girl has equal opportunities to learn, lead, and thrive. The session created a safe and inclusive space for expression, reinforcing the importance of self-belief, education, and respect for women and girls in all spheres of life. The open and inclusive atmosphere encouraged dialogue, creativity, and empathy among participants and the audience alike.



Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities – the event reflected the institution’s commitment to promoting awareness and social responsibility among students.

The event concluded with words of appreciation for all participants, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to fostering gender equality with a message of hope and empowerment for every girl child.
