Robocom at GEC – ARM Society

The Robotics team of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, ROBOCOM, achieved a significant milestone by securing Second Place in the Maze Follower Competition organized by the ARM Society of Goa College of Engineering (GEC) on 31st October 2025. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as it marked ROBOCOM’s first-ever participation in a Maze Follower robotics event, involving the complete design, development, and execution of the robot.
The team was led by Vallan Mascarenhas and Kingel Fernandes, whose technical leadership and problem-solving skills played a crucial role in the successful performance. The team also acknowledges the valuable support and contributions of Danely Gomes and Mazen Leitao, who were actively involved during the preparation and execution phases of the competition.
The consistent success of ROBOCOM is strongly supported by the encouragement and guidance provided by the institution. The team expresses sincere gratitude to the Management of Don Bosco College of Engineering for fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. Special appreciation is extended to the Principal, Dr. Neena Panandikar, and the Director, Rev. Fr. Wilfred Fernandes, for their continued support of technical and co-curricular initiatives.
The team also conveys special appreciation to the ROBOCOM Club Coordinator, Prof. Flavia Leitao, whose dedicated mentorship, insightful guidance, and continuous motivation were instrumental in guiding the team towards this achievement.
This commendable performance in their first Maze Follower competition marks a promising beginning for ROBOCOM and sets a strong foundation for future achievements in the field of robotics.
