Participation and Achievements of DBCE IEEE Students at AICSSYC 2025

A group of ten IEEE student members from Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Goa, led by their Branch Counselor Prof. Yeshudas Muttu, attended the prestigious All India Computer Society Student & Young Professional Congress (AICSSYC) 2025 held at Amity University, Kolkata, from 31st October to 2nd November 2025.

The event commenced with an inspiring inaugural session that included a welcome address by Dr. Rekha Vig and a keynote talk by Dr. Grace A. Lewis, IEEE Computer Society President (2026). In her keynote, she emphasized the importance of teamwork, leadership, and continuous professional growth for young engineers. The day also marked the launch of the Amity IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter. Engaging panel discussions were conducted on bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. The DBCE students actively participated in sessions focusing on Artificial Intelligence, networking, and emerging computing technologies, gaining valuable insights and setting a strong foundation for the rest of the event.

The second and third day highlighted the remarkable achievements of the Don Bosco College of Engineering IEEE team. On Day 2, the DBCE students demonstrated exceptional teamwork and problem-solving skills by sweeping the Treasure Hunt competition, securing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions. In addition to the competition, students attended insightful sessions on entrepreneurship, startup pitching, and technical workshops focusing on the future of computing technologies.
A significant milestone was achieved during the event when Don Bosco College of Engineering was officially shortlisted and awarded the Letter of Intent to host the IEEE Computer Society India Symposium (CSIS) 2026, following a detailed presentation showcasing the achievements and activities of the DBCE IEEE Student Branch. This recognition places the institution on the national stage for technical leadership and student engagement within IEEE.
The event concluded on Day 3 with a startup pitch competition and a heritage bus tour of Kolkata, providing participants with both technical exposure and cultural experience. Overall, the participation in AICSSYC 2025 proved to be a highly enriching experience for the students, enabling them to gain new technical knowledge, strengthen teamwork, build professional networks, and return with a renewed sense of motivation and pride.
