3-day Intensive Career Preparation Workshop

Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, successfully organized a 3-day Intensive Career Preparation Workshop from 28th to 30th January 2026 for third-year students registered under placements. The workshop was conducted with the aim of equipping students with essential competencies that go beyond academic learning and preparing them for campus placements, higher studies, and real-world professional challenges.
The sessions were facilitated by “The Leader” – Mr. Roshan Nisar, a highly respected and dynamic trainer renowned for delivering impactful, result-oriented programs. His visit to the institution was arranged at the special request of the college, offering students a valuable opportunity to learn from an experienced mentor in the areas of aptitude training, leadership, and personal development.
Over the course of three days, students received focused training in several key areas critical for placement success:
- Quantitative Ability: Students enhanced their numerical aptitude and problem-solving skills, which are essential for clearing placement aptitude tests and tackling analytical challenges in professional settings.
- Logical Ability: The sessions emphasized structured thinking, quick decision-making, and solution-oriented reasoning, which are crucial for technical, coding, and problem-solving roles.
- Verbal Ability: Special attention was given to strengthening written and verbal communication skills, vital for placement assessments, interviews, and professional interactions.
- Analytical Puzzles: Students participated in engaging problem-solving exercises designed to improve critical thinking, pattern recognition, and analytical reasoning.
- Group Discussions (GDs): Practical guidance was provided on expressing ideas effectively, participating with confidence, and demonstrating teamwork during selection processes.
- Communication Skills & Email Etiquette: The workshop also focused on professional communication, including presentation skills, interview behavior, and drafting formal emails with clarity and professionalism.
The workshop was designed not only to strengthen students’ technical aptitude but also to enhance their overall personality development and professional readiness. Students actively engaged in the sessions, gaining a clearer understanding of placement expectations while building confidence in their own capabilities.
