Sarvodaya High School students visit DBCE

Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) organized a half-day institute visit for the students of Sarvodaya High School, Usgaon, on 20th March 2026. The visit was coordinated by the Mechanical and Civil Engineering Departments with the objective of familiarizing the students with various engineering disciplines and encouraging early interest in technical education and emerging technologies.
The program began with an introductory session on engineering and career opportunities, conducted by Dr. Suraj Marathe, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, and Prof. Sateesh Kakodkar from the Civil Engineering Department. The speakers highlighted the wide range of career paths available in engineering and emphasized the importance of developing skills aligned with modern and emerging technologies.

Following the introductory session, the students were taken on a guided tour of the Civil Engineering laboratories. The visit to the various laboratories was guided by Prof. Sateesh Kakodkar, Assistant Professor, and Mr. Shantanu Desai, who explained the working and applications of various civil engineering equipment and systems.
The visit concluded with a live demonstration and a tour of the CAD/CAM Laboratory. An interactive session with Principal Dr. Neena Panandikar marked the conclusion of the program, during which the students were encouraged to explore engineering as a career option and were provided with guidance for their academic and professional development.
