One-day hands-on workshop on “Advanced Surveying Instruments”

The Department of Civil Engineering at NIT Goa organized a one-day hands-on workshop on “Advanced Surveying Instruments” on 17th April 2026. The workshop was attended by Prof. Starina Dias along with four SE Civil Engineering students. Advanced surveying instruments are modern tools used in land measurement, construction, mapping, and geospatial data collection. They offer high accuracy, speed, and digital data processing compared to traditional tools. This workshop provided participants with practical training on modern equipment, including Total Stations, GNSS, and 3D LiDAR scanners where they were explained about their working and application of the same. This workshop gave Participants useful and insightful knowledge about topic.
