International Symposium on AI in Education 2026

The International Symposium on AI in Education 2026 was successfully organized by Don Bosco College of Engineering, Goa, in collaboration with the International House of Education (IHE), Bangalore, on 2nd May 2026. The event brought together academicians, researchers, and students from diverse regions to exchange ideas and present research on the applications of Artificial Intelligence in education.
The programme commenced with the National Anthem followed by a college video presentation. The dignitaries formally inaugurated the symposium through a ceremonial plant watering. The distinguished guests included Fr. Ralin De Souza (Rector), Dr. Neena S. P. Panandiker (Principal), Dr. Rudresh M (International House of Education, Bangalore), Dr. Ashwin C Gowda (International House of Education, Bangalore), Dr. Nagaswarupa H. P. (International House of Education, Bangalore), Dr. Sunder N. Dhuri (Registrar, Goa University), and Dr. B. R. Supreeth (Bangalore University)

A key highlight of the inaugural session was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between VMS and IHE, along with the release of the conference proceedings by the Rector. This was followed by the IHE Award Ceremony and the felicitation of dignitaries, where mementos were presented to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Principal, and Rector. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Vidhya D. S.
The symposium continued with a keynote address by Dr. Praveen M. P., who shared valuable insights on emerging trends and future directions of AI in education.
Subsequently, parallel technical sessions were conducted in both offline and online modes.

Offline Sessions:
- Technical Session 1 on Machine Learning and Deep Learning Techniques was chaired by Dr. Sonia Kurade (Associate Professor, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Goa College of Engineering) and Dr. Rahul Pethe (Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Telecommunication, S. B. Jain Institute of Technology Management and Research, Nagpur).
- Technical Session 2 on Mathematical Framework and Large Language Models (LLMs) was chaired by Dr. Nilam Choudhary (Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology, Management and Gramothan, Jaipur, Rajasthan) and Dr. Annie Rajan (Associate Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science, DCT’s Dhempe College).
- Technical Session 3 on Applications of AI/ML was chaired by Dr. Santhosh N (Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management), Dr. Sangeeta Chakrabarty (Associate Professor, S. S. Dempo College), and Dr. Solley Thomas (Associate Professor and Head, Department of Information Technology, Carmel College of Arts, Science and Commerce).
Online Sessions:
- Technical Session 1 on Applications of AI/ML in Basic Sciences and Core Engineering was chaired by Dr. Aasawari Shenwai (Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, Satish Pradhan Dnyanasadhana College, Thane, Maharashtra) and Dr. Hemashree Bordoloi (Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Head, Centre for Bioengineering, Assam Don Bosco University).
- Technical Session 2 on Machine Learning and Deep Learning Techniques for IoT Applications was chaired by Dr. B. Prabadevi (Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru) and Prof. Bobby Sharma (Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Assam Don Bosco University).
- Technical Session 3 on Applications of AI/ML was chaired by Dr. Budesh Kanwer (Professor and Head, Department of AI and Data Science, Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jaipur) and Dr. Gypsy Nandi (Associate Professor and Head, Department of Computer Applications, School of Technology, Assam Don Bosco University).
- Technical Session 4 on Applications of AI/ML was chaired by Dr. Chandrika M (Associate Professor, Department of Data Analytics and Mathematical Sciences, School of Sciences, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bangalore) and Dr. Bikramjit Goswami (Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Director, IQAC, Assam Don Bosco University).
- Technical Session 5 on Applications of AI/ML was chaired by Dr. Sunil Wanjari (Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur) and Dr. Shraddha Vaidya (Assistant Professor – Senior Scale, Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, Pune).
The symposium concluded with a valedictory session held from 3:50 PM to 4:00 PM, which included the presentation of the symposium report by Dr. Ashwin C. Gowda, distribution of certificates, and felicitation of IHE team members, including Dr. Rudresh M, Dr. Ashwin C. Gowda, Dr. Nagaswarupa H. P., and Dr. Veena Santosh K.
Overall, the symposium served as an enriching platform for knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration, and advancing the integration of Artificial Intelligence in the education sector.
