CAIR Bangalore Visit
DRDO or “Defense Research and Development Organization” is an apex institution of central government which co-ordinates the activities of many research laboratories spread across the country. DRDO’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Bangalore visit became the dream of all the faculty of Computer Engineering Department and Mechanical Engineering Department on 5th April 2017. Out of ten research proposal submitted, three were accepted and the principal investigator (PI) along with Co-PI were invited at CAIR, Bangalore for further discussion. Mr. Gaurang Patkar, Ms. Maria Christina Barretto, Ms. Chinnu George, Mr. Amey Tilve, Mr. Suraj Marathe and Mr. Sanjeel Naik visited the site and gave research proposal introductory presentation, which gave CAIR scientist an idea about the aim, problem definition and methodology which will be used in projects. CAIR is engaged in the development of a range of Information and Communication Systems and Security Solutions. Simultaneously, the laboratory carries out R&D in advanced technologies relevant to Tactical Communication, Communication Secrecy and Information Security classes of systems. After discussion with the senior and junior scientist some changed were suggested to two research proposals. Due to confidentiality, we were not allowed to take any electronic gadgets inside the office and are also devoid of internet access.
