BE Mechanical Field Visit to Tata Motors, Fatorda (Auto Industries Goa, Pvt. Ltd)

The students of BE Mechanical Engineering of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda visited Tata Motors, Fatorda (Auto Industries Goa, Pvt. Ltd) on 22nd July 2017. The industrial visit was very much beneficial for the students related to automobile engineering. Mr. Laxmikant Lawande, Assistant works Manager, Warranty section, explained the various automobile engineering concepts and design considerations by displaying automotive parts like radiator, engine, chassis, turbocharger etc. at the commercial section.
At the passenger Vehicle section, Mr. Saish, Senior Service Adviser showed the students different work stations employed for vehicle maintenance and services. He explained in detail about the different workstations like tool room, engine room, body painting section etc. The students were actively involved in the visit and gained valuable information related to automobile engineering.
The visit was organized by Asst. Prof. Chetan Gaonkar and Asst. Prof. Sharad Shanbhag, Mechanical Engineering Department. Mr. Joyston Menzenes accompanied the students.
