Report of Blood Donation Camp held on 9th March 2018 at Don Bosco College of Engineering

The NSS unit of Don Bosco college of Engineering, Fatorda in association with Blood Bank, Hospicio Hospital, Margao conducted a blood donation camp in the institute premises on 9^th March 2018. An eight member team headed by Dr. Ramaa Kamat visited the institute for the blood collection. Also present was Dr. Neena Panandikar (Principal) and Prof. Harison Cota (NSS Programme Officer), Prof. Chetan Gaonkar and Dr. Avertano Baretto (Sports Officer). Altogether 87 students and staff came forward to donate blood. However due to haemoglobin, pressure and other medical conditions, 17 could not donate. In all 67 students and 3 staff donated blood and helped save many lives.. This is the second blood donation camp conducted by the NSS unit in this academic year, the previous one being held on 1^st September 2017.
