Report on IIC Workshop

The recently launched Institution Innovation Council (IIC: DBCE)  organised its first event in the form of a faculty development workshop on Ideation and IPR and Patents on 6^th December 2018.

Mr. Ramchandra Salagonkar delivered the session on Ideation, and explained how having a brilliant idea is not enough but it needs to be implemented. He gave several anecdotes from his own experience to highlight the importance of converting an idea into a scalable enterprise.

The session on IPR and Patents was delivered by Advocate Shalini Menezes. Ms. Menezes spoke about how protecting property is important and how intellectual property protection is a need of the future. She also explained the procedure to file a patent and the benefits of having one.
