Report for the AI and Data Science Day

The Aegis School of Data Science, along with the Government of Goa had organised an “AI and Data Science Day” at the Entertainment Society of Goa, Panaji on 1st February 2019. 32 students from the BE Computers class had attended this session. This day was held in order to spread awareness about the upcoming fields of artificial intelligence and data science; and how it is and will be an integral part in the lives of the youth.

The first speaker, Dr Abhijit Gangopadhyay, Dean of Aegis School of Business, Data Science and Telecommunication, came up and spoke about artificial intelligence and how is it going to affect our future. The second speaker, Bhupesh Daheria, CEO and Founder of Aegis School of Business, Data Science and Telecommunication, spoke about what is machine learning and data science, how data scientists is the “sexiest job of the 21st century” and the skills required to become one; and the various projects by the very same institution he has founded. The last speaker, Neerav Parekh, Founder and CEO of vPhrase Analytics Solutions Pvt. Ltd. spoke about what is business analytics, how important it is for companies, either big or small, to use business analytics for better data management and the various softwares used in business analytics. Aegis School also offers various Post Graduate courses on Data Science, Machine Learning, Cryptography and Cloud Computing. It was indeed a very good learning experience for the students.
