Farewell BE ETC 2019
The BE ETC farewell was held on 30th April 2019 in the auditorium of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda. The farewell commenced at 10:00 am with the farewell march by the BE students with everyone wearing their graduation hats. The compere for the formal function was Miss Shriya Naik. The occasion was graced by the Director, Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Principal, Dr. Neena Panandikar, (HOD) Mrs. Michelle Araujo and Professor Dr. Varsha Turkar.
Head of Department Mrs. Michelle Araujo in her speech fondly recalled the last four years spent with the students and encouraged them to strive harder to achieve success in all that they undertake.
Principal, Dr. Neena Panandikar addressed the students on the essentials of life by giving an example of her own life story and motivating students to chase their dreams and achieve their goals. Her speech concluded with a melodious duet with BE ETC Student Mr. Saptak Banerjee.
Director, Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, inspired the students by comparing them to the Chinese Bamboo tree that germinates after 5 years of absorbing all the nutrients and the shooting up to great heights within 6 months after that. He prodded the students to have continuous patience and assured them that a great success is awaiting each and every one of them.
The formal function was concluded with a short video covering some nostalgic memories of the BE students. Followed by the presenting of the ‘Best outgoing students award’ to Mr. Suraj Malvikar.
The program continued with the informal function which was compered by Mast. Nixon Coutinho. It started off with a Dance performance by third year ETC students followed by the final year students sharing their experiences of the last four years.
The function was concluded with a few games and presenting the students with mementos. The students spent some time with each other, collecting some more memories, clicking selfies and bidding farewell to each other. The farewell was organized by the TE-ETC students along with faculty coordinators Prof. Samantha Cardoso and Prof. Mathilda Colaco..
