DBCE students win “Innovative Idea Competition” organized by Dnyanprassarak Mandals College of Research Centre Assagao

A 2-day workshop on Green audit for College Campus was conducted by Dnyanprassarak Mandals College of Research Centre Assagao- Bardez on 29^th & 30^th August 2019. The workshop primarily focused on how a green audit is carried out in a college campus for the necessary NAAC accreditation. Dr. Shalini Dhyani(Scientist, NEERI Nagpur), Mr. Pradip Sarmokadam(Member Secretary, Goa State Biodiversity Board, Government of Goa) Mr. Ganesh Chari(Managing Director, Neshaju Envirotech) and Mr. Abhinav Apte(General Manager, LILA Solution) were the resource persons.  Topics such as Water Audit, Energy Audit and Biodiversity Audit were covered in this workshop. An Innovation idea competition was also organized for the college students. Total 14 teams had participated from various colleges all over goa out of which the 1^st and the 3^rd place were secured by Don Bosco College of Engineering. The 1^st place was awarded to Mr. Abul Fazal Sayed and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 for his innovative idea on Green Energy from Piezoelectric crystals. Mr. Sanat Bharne and Mr. Rajay Naik secured 3^rd place and a cash prize of Rs. 2,500 for their project on ‘Segregation of Solid waste using Robotic Arm’.
