Talk on Start – up by Alumnus, Mr. Shantanu Desai– Batch 2019 – Mechanical Engineering

Mr. Shantanu Desai delivered a talk on Start – ups for the BE Mechanical students of Don Bosco College of Engineering organized on February 17, 2020 at the institute.

Alumnus, Mr. Shantanu Desai, Batch 2019, Mechanical Engineering, spoke on formulation of a problem statement and a solution, product description and benefits, product sales & marketing based on age group, gender & income bracket, testing the customers for feedback to help Research & Development, where & how customers will buy the product, idea of pitching for competitions, & investment model (e.g: spending, planning & income).

He also emphasized that good ideas and teams get support from government organizations through various policies. He also mentioned about start – up competitions like start – up Goa, and those held by DRDO etc.

In all, 39 students attended the talk. The students interacted with Mr. Shantanu and asked a lot of questions.
