Webinar on GRADUATE STUDIES AT BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY
Training & Placement Cell of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Goa organized a Webinar on GRADUATE STUDIES AT BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY for the students of Don Bosco College of Engineering on Wednesday, November 18 , 2020 at 6.00 p.m. IST. via virtual platform Zoom.
Dr. Mohammad Khasawneh, Professor and Chair of Systems Science & Industrial Engineering, Associate Director for the Watson Institute for Systems Excellence (WISE) was the speaker for the webinar. He presented an overview of Binghamton University. He mentioned about The Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science as a top-ranked engineering and computer science education in upstate New York with exceptional faculty members. He presented a broad overview of student life at Binghamton where they are nurtured with broad-based skills and the entrepreneurial spirit to succeed in fields ranging from mechanical engineering to hospital operations and more. He spoke at length about the Department of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering (SSIE). Participants asked many questions and showed interest in studying abroad. He was also assisted by Lindsay Buchta, Graduate Administrative Assistant and Erin Hornbeck, Assistant to the Chair. At the end of the webinar, Principal, Dr. Neena Panandikar thanked the Binghamton team for the session. The host, Avila Naik, Training & Placement Officer showed gratitude to Professor Krishnaswami “Hari” Srihari, Dean of the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science at Binghamton University and Director of the Watson Institute of Systems Excellence for the initiative and collaboration with Don Bosco College of Engineering. She also thanked Dr. Mohammad Khasawneh for the wonderful session and interaction with everyone.
