INNOVATIONS IN CIVIL ENGINEERING BY PRINCIPAL Dr. NEENA PANANDIKAR

The Institute Innovation Cell (IIC) of Don Bosco College of Engineering, in association with FiiRE conducted a webinar on “INNOVATIONS IN CIVIL ENGINEERING”  by Principal- Dr. Neena Panandikar on  November 21, 2020 from 2pm to 3.15pm. The webinar was attended by the First Year Engineering students from the Civil branch.

In her session, Dr. Panandikar explained  the  basic methods like load bearing and framed structure and Innovative construction technology like 3D printed houses, BIM, Smart cities and roads, self healing concrete etc. She also explained about mixture and processes involved in making of concrete. Further, in her presentation she showed a short clip on how AI is taking over manual processes. She also showed the audience a clip on the construction of the Panaji highway which is currently in progress.
