Reducible discrete Markov chain

The R & D Cell (Department of Science & Humanities) of Don Bosco College of Engineering had the first activity on December 14, 2020 from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm. The resource person was Dr. Kala R. Nayak, HOD of Science and Humanities and Registrar of the college.
In her session, Dr. Kala R. Nayak spoke about the model built by a reducible discrete Markov chain with eight transient states and three absorbing states which estimates the expected time the student spends in a particular study program. She concluded the session by saying that the model enables the prediction of future probability of student who repeat specific semester, withdraw or graduate.
