The Institution Innovation Council of Don Bosco College of Engineering in association with FiiRE hosted a webinar on ‘How to plan for Start-up and Legal Ethical Steps’ on March 16 2021 . The Speaker for the day was Ms. Prasanna Timble, who is the founder and managing attorney of a well renowned consultancy company- ‘LEGAWISE’.
Ms.Timble spoke about the various main business structures composing of proprietorship, partnership, Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), One Person Company (OPC). She briefed the audience about the concept of a company and also explained about the various key factors such as taxation, liability and risk, management, continuity, transferability, expense and formality to form a business providing the students with broad knowledge on starting a business.
In addition to this , key information about the various licenses, registrations and legal documents needed to register a newly opened business were provided in this webinar.
Lastly, the different kinds of intellectual properties such as patents, industrial designs, trade secrets and many others were explained thoroughly.
