Webinar on – ‘The Extra Mile – A discussion with HR’s’

The Training and Placement Cell of Don Bosco College of Engineering organized a discussion with HR’s called The Extra Mile students of all branches of Don Bosco College of Engineering. The talk was organized on Saturday, April 24, 2021 on Google Meet from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

The panelist for the event were Ms. Cheri Bhengra, and Mr. Abhijitt Murugan.  Cheri is an Electronics & Telecommunication graduate from Goa engineering College and management graduate from XLRI Jamshedpur. She joined the RPG group in 2015 and has worked on diverse projects for CEAT tyres and became the campus lead for RPG group. She is now a Senior Manager of talent management and LnOD. The second panelist for the event was Mr. Abhijitt Murugan. Abhijitt Murugan is part of the University Relations Team of L&T Technology Services. He joined LTTS as a fresher and has been with the University Relations team since then. He has been running campus recruitment at LTTS for premium T School and B school along with tier 2 institutes.

The proceedings of the event were as follows. In the first part, there was a 5-10 minute brief overview of the company recruitment process by HR. In the second part, the host asked questions to HR on their perspective on typical questions asked by them during HR interviews. In the third part the session was made open to students to ask questions.

The speakers explained the recruitment process of their respective companies. They answered all the questions asked by the host diligently and enthusiastically. Also, they cleared all the doubts asked by students. The discussion was concluded by Dr. Shreyas Simu and Prof. Avila Naik by thanking the speakers for their valuable time and inputs.
