IEEE DBCE Student Branch WIE AG Organizes Project Based Learning Workshop “Weave the Web”

The IEEE Don Bosco College of Engineering Student Branch Women in Engineering Affinity Group organized a Web Development Workshop “ Weave the Web” on 1^st May, 2^nd May and 15^th May 2021 with the aim to enhance the student’s understanding on the basic yet essential skill of Web Development in an effective way. The Facilitator for the workshop was Alumni, Mr. Shivam Bale, Tentwenty Digital Agency Front End Engineer (Intern).

The first session of the workshop started off with the introduction of the resource person by Ms. Sheena Mashelkar, IEEE DBCE Secretary. The speaker started with the basics of HTML 5, CSS and JavaScript. He also explained how all the three languages interact for designing a webpage. In the second session the participants were asked to code along with the facilitator. Furthermore, the use of JavaScript and CDN was explained. The last session emphasized on the responsive web development with help of Bootstrap. All the sessions were very informative and the students had all their doubts cleared and queries solved by the trainer. By the end of the workshop, participants were asked to develop a website on their own and submit it to the organizing committee to receive an e-certificate. Prof. Yeshudas Muttu and Dr. Varsha Turkar appreciated the efforts put in by Mr. Shivam Bale in conducting this Project based Workshop.
