Webinar on Maintenance of HVAC Equipment (Audit Course in Maintenance Engineering)

The Department of Mechanical Engineering held its fourth webinar in Audit Course in Maintenance Engineering for the academic year 2020-2021, on June 11, 2021 . The session was delivered by Mr. Prakash Naik, Treasurer ISHRAE Goa Chapter on Maintenance of HVAC Equipment.

The webinar was hosted via Google meet. 50 participants from the Third year Mechanical Engineering students and Faculties from Mechanical Department attended the webinar. The event was hosted and coordinated by Prof. Swapnil Ramani and Prof. Mayur Shetti. The event was initiated by Prof. Swapnil Ramani who welcomed the participants and gave a brief introduction about the resource person.

Mr. Prakash spoke about the different types of HVAC system. He spoke about the advantages, disadvantages, and the economics of the HVAC system. He spoke about star rating of Air Conditioners. The resource person brushed on refrigeration cycle. Mr. Prakash’s delivery on the subject was precise and on-point. He kept the entire session very interactive, ensuring to answer all student questions as and when they came up. The students gained valuable knowledge in this area of engineering.
