PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND RUBRICS

 

The Final Year Project Quality Assurance Committee (FYPQAC), Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Goa, organised an orientation program on “Project Management and Rubrics” on September 03, 2021. The orientation was delivered by Project Coordinators, Prof. Anisha Cotta and Prof. Priyanka Padiyar and was attended by the Final Year Students, Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering via online platform.
The objectives of the orientation were to introduce the students to the entire project flow and the evaluation rubrics for the final year projects. The session also aimed at motivating the students to work in a team and enlighted them with the benefits of teamwork.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND RUBRICS-1
The orientation commenced with a detailed explanation on the general flow of the project work from the inception of idea to the completion and submission of the project thesis by Prof. Anisha Cotta. It was followed by a briefing on the project marks allocation scheme by Prof. Priyanka Padiyar. The students were introduced to the various rubrics which would be followed for evaluating and awarding marks to them for every review.
Thereafter, Prof. Anisha stressed upon the necessity of project management and teamwork. She spoke about the various benefits of teamwork such as diversity of ideas, distribution of workload, improved productivity, quick solution, etc. She concluded by saying “The strength of the team is the individual team member. The strength of each team member is the team”
The orientation was very interactive and ended with a session wherein queries of the students were addressed.
