Entrepreneurship Cell of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Goa organized Business Idea Competition under Entrepreneurship: Idea to Startup Course exclusively for ECell Students on Friday, 24 September 2021 at 3.00 p.m. via Google Meet.

Mathilda Colaco, Host and Event Coordinator highlighted the aim of this event and welcomed the participants, judges, and viewers for this event.

Principal, Dr. Neena Panandikar congratulated all the participants and mentioned that participation is more important than just winning. She applauded the efforts taken by the ECell Team in organizing the event. She stated, “If you will keep on participating in such events then surely one day, we will see you as entrepreneurs. It does not matter that you win or lose, all that matters is the courage to take part.”

Satyesh Kakodkar, ECell Faculty Member introduced D S Prashant, CEO – FiiRE (Forum for Innovation Incubation Research & Entrepreneurship), Rohin Parkar, Co-Founder & CEO – Mrinq Technologies (Spintly) and Kanan Tandi, Co-Founder – CogniQue as Judges for this event.

ECell students (presently in Second Year of Engineering) presented 08 Ideas in the competition. The participants enthusiastically spoke about the idea mentioning the challenge and prospect of these ideas. The team leaders: Vadiraj Inamdar (COMP), Nishil Hoogar (COMP), Sejal Sanjay karapurkar (COMP), Nicole Ana Fernandes (COMP), Ronan Chris Mendes (COMP), Leo Barros (COMP), Hitendra Naik (COMP) and Jeremy Gilbert (ETC) along with their team members answered the questions put forward by the judges in the best way possible.

Amey Tilve, ECell Faculty Member declared the results. The first Place awarded to Sonic Drone Fire Extinguisher idea presented by Nicole Ana Fernandes and Second Place to Quarantined Chefs idea by Leo Barros. The judges congratulated the winners and the participants too and provided their inputs for everyone.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Manjunath Narwate, ECell Faculty Member who echoed the words of appreciation to the Director, Principal, Judges, ECell Student Members and the entire E-Cell Team. The event was planned and executed by the E-Cell Team – Satyesh Kakodkar, Manjunath Narwate, Mathilda Colaco, Amey Tilve, Dr. Shreyas Simu and Avila Naik.
