Introduction to Cryptography and CrypTool

A webinar titled “Introduction to Cryptography and CrypTool” was conducted for third year Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering students in association with DBEATS on October 9, 2021. The webinar was delivered by Asst. Prof. Michelle Araujo e Viegas and Asst. Prof. Trima P. Fernandes e Fizardo.

Asst.Prof. Michelle Araujo e Viegas spoke about “Cryptography, Features of Cryptography, Symmetric Key Cryptography, Asymmetric Key Cryptography and Hash Functions”.

Asst. Prof. Trima P. Fernandes e Fizardo briefed the students on Attacks of Cryptography, introduced them to the CrypTool software-showing them various encryption and decryption techniques.

The students showed keen interest and enthusiasm and the session concluded with a discussion on the topic.
