Self-Compacting Concrete Mix Proportioning Workshop

The Civil Engineering Department of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda organized a “Self-Compacting Concrete Mix Proportioning” workshop on 08^th October 2021, for the faculty of Civil Engineering Department.

The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Shreelaxmi Prashanth, Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering Department, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal. She elaborated the purpose of self-compacting concrete mix proportioning and its significance.

In the morning session she explained the IS specifications of self-compacting concrete mix design and also briefed the faculty members on the Laboratory considerations while casting the mix.

 In the afternoon session various mix design trials were conducted in the laboratory to demonstrate the workability of concrete.

In all 11 faculty members, laboratory assistant and attendants attended the workshop.

Assistant Professor Shruti Jambhale was the coordinator of the workshop.
