Don Bosco Binghamton Big Data International Online Conference DB3D – 2021

The Department of Science and Humanities, Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) together with Binghamton University (BU) organized the Don Bosco Binghamton Big Data International Online Conference DB3D – 2021 from October 19-21, 2021. A total of 107 participants registered for the conference.
The Conference began with an Inaugural on October 19, 2021, graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Kinley D’cruz – Director – DBCE, Dr. Mohammad Kasawaneh – Professor; Department Chair; Graduate Director; Professor; Associate Director – BU and Dr. Neena Panandikar – Principal – DBCE.

In her address to the audience, Dr. Neena Panandikar referring to DB3D 2021 said, “I am very sure this will be a great platform for the researchers to exchange vision and ideas to shape our future to discuss how this new knowledge and capabilities can drive progress into the 2021 and beyond.”

Rev. Fr. Kinley D’cruz relayed the details of the Don Bosco Society. He wished the organisers and participants and further added, “We are coming together to enlarge our horizons and may this learning experience take us far and wide.”

Dr. Mohammad Kasawaneh appreciated the DB3D 2021 team from BU and DBCE and mentioned “We are delighted to have several participants from IBM or joining us as part of the 3-day conference as keynote speakers.”

Varied topics were addressed by the keynote speakers during the conference as follows: Understanding Diversity, Innovation and Social Evolution: Theoretical and Experimental Approaches, The Process and Approach for Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence becomes Critical for the Future, Big data business models and case studies, Optimization: A Multi-armed Bandit In Deep Neural Nets, AI and Bigdata Algorithms and Challenges, Digital Transformation using Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning in Electronics Manufacturing, Transforming Client Experience through Industrial Engineering Techniques, Moving computation from cloud to ground, Frequent Sub Graph Mining, Big Data Crossroads: Maximizing the opportunity and overcoming the challenges, Taxonomy of Big Data Analytics Tools for Beginners.

There were 48 authors who presented their research work at the Conference. The presentations were moderated by Prof. Michael Testani – Director of Industry Outreach-
BU and Prof. Kala Nayak – Head of Department of Science and Humanities- DBCE.
The closing remarks for the conference were presented by Prof. Michael Testani and Prof. Kala Nayak.
The participants expressed that the talks had indeed added more flavour to their research areas through the feedback they provided. The International Conference was coordinated by Conveners – Prof. Michael Testani – Director of Industry Outreach-
