Inspirathon Report
The main highlight of Inspirus 2K21 was a 24 hour non stop Full Stack Hackathon “INSPIRATHON”. It was held for the 3rd time in Goa. The event was organized in association with FiiRE (Forum for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship) the incubation centre at Don Bosco College of Engineering, and One Shield Software.
The hackathon began on October 29, 2021 at 12 pm and ran continuously for 24 hours until 12 pm on October 30, 2021. The organizing team received a huge response in the registrations from participants all over the state of Goa. A total of 13 teams registered for the hackathon. The participants were from various engineering colleges, polytechnic colleges, and tech companies.
The hackathon served as a great platform for the organizers as well as the participants to network and cultivate connections. The judges for the 3rd edition of Inspirathon were Mr. Venugopal from FiiRE, Mr. Shriram Phadte; Director of Engineering from One Shield Software and Mr. Gautam Gosavi; Software Engineer Director from Creative Capsule. There was a total of 21 problem statements to choose from.
The participating teams were told to upload their work on Github for the judges to evaluate. The teams had to present their solutions to judges through presentations and demos whereby they were judged on complexity of the solution, completion, innovation, presentation, execution and the solution itself.
After the judging round the participants gave their feedback on attending the 24-hour hackathon. The teams commended the organizing team for organizing the hackathon very well and they also expressed their desire to attend the hackathon for the next edition of Inspirus. The 1st place was bagged by team SF Clan ,members were Neil Bothelo,Vipul Chodankar and Rudraksh Kanekar. Team Incognito secured the 2nd place;members were Saish Naik,Siddhant Naik and Rajdeep Kerkar. 3rd place went to eam AlphaQ members were Benito Coutinho, Deborah Mendes and Deepraj Bhosale.
The Faculty Coordinators were Prof. Merwyn D’Souza, Prof. Amey Tilve and Prof. Mithil Parab. The student coordinators were Ritika Ghanti,SaishPawar,Sidhilaxmi Shenoy,Arya Shanbhag,Sidhant Desai,Prathan Shah, Carson Rodrigues, Oysturn Vas, Yash Karapurkar, Steven Mascarenhes, Mariza Rodrigues and Ruthvik Vaze.
