Yoga and Meditation
DHRISHNI – Women’s cell at Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) organized a session on “Yoga and Meditation ” on September 12, 2022 for the faculty members of Don Bosco College of Engineering. The main objective of the event was to create awareness of physical exercise, breath control, relaxation, diet and positive thinking. Meditation aimed at developing harmony in the body, mind and environment.
The faculty co-ordinators of the event were Dr, Kala Nayak, Mrs. Vaishali Parakhi and Mrs. Trima Piedade Fernandes e Fizardo
Mrs. Vaishali Parakhi introduced the Speaker, Dr.Sneha Bhagwat, Ayurveda and Panchakarma specialist and founder of Oorja Wellness Center.
The session commenced with a brief understanding of benefits of yoga and meditation.She emphasized on how changing lifestyle with a suitable diet, meditation and yoga can prevent health problems.
It was followed by a yoga session conducted by Guru Bharat Gaude. He demonstrated a combination of poses and breathing exercises that help to de-stress in day to day life.
The session was very enlightening and full of energy.
The session concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Trima Piedade Fernandes e Fizardo
