E- Cell Field Trip at Atal Incubation Centre & FiiRE
On October 6, 2022, E-CELL student members from Don Bosco College of Engineering visited Atal Incubation Center (AIC), at Goa Institute of Management, Sanquelim, Goa, and FiiRE Incubation center, at Don Bosco College Of Engineering, Fatorda, Goa.
At AIC the students were addressed by Mr. Abhishek Singh – Incubation Manager, who introduced how AIC actually works, he discussed about the different successful startups and also about how they work together towards success, he said “present success rate of startups in GIM is 4%”. He explained the importance of pitch in today’s market.
He also mentioned about the Incubation centers building a bridge for aspiring entrepreneurs. Next was an introduction to several investors that help out in different fields. Lastly he spoke about the ideation process.
The students were addressed by the faculty member from Goa Institute of Management who informed the students about the opportunities they provide and about how they work closely with the government and AIC.
Later the students were allowed to explore the GIM campus and witness the work environment; they were allowed to visit the discussion rooms, sitting area, and the workplace. The students could personally discuss this with the people at the incubation center.
Students visited FiiRE (Forum for Innovation Incubation Research And Entrepreneurship), Fatorda, they were welcomed by Miss Ashlesha De Noronha, the community manager. She explained to them about the several different startups and how this is a great opportunity for the students to talk to people that have worked on their startups with the help of FiiRE. Then the students were allowed to visit the cubical space where individuals work and witness their work environment.
The students had a great experience and gave very positive feedback about the campuses and the work environments. The students were accompanied by Prof. Satyesh Kakodkar and Prof. Sanjeel Naik.
