A Webinar on “Innovative Tools for Teaching” for School Teachers under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan

Digitization in teaching process is making learning easy, it is also making it more interactive and interesting. This has changed the way of Learning, Teaching and Knowledge Gathering. Keeping in mind the twin objectives of National Education Policy, the Department of Computer Engineering at Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) Fatorda Goa in joint association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), organized a webinar on “Innovative Tools for Teaching” on  October 3, 2020 in online mode for School Teachers.

This Program was initiated by Dr. Gaurang Patkar, Head of Department, Computer Engineering, DBCE and UBA coordinator. The resource person for the webinar was Prof. Sweta Morajkar, Assistant Professor, Computer Department, DBCE. The event was coordinated by Prof. Janhavi Naik, Assistant Professor, Computer Department, DBCE. The speaker spoke on Innovative Tools for online teaching which are very helpful in making teaching interesting. She explained different features of Google Classroom and also demonstrated the usage of Prezi, Canva, Flip HTML and some video recording software’s such as Loom and Flash Express 5. Over 250 school teachers registered for this webinar. Teachers asked a lot of questions which were eagerly answered by the speaker. Prof Janhavi thanked Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Director DBCE and Principal- Dr.Neena Panandikar for their constant motivation and support. She also thanked Dr.Gaurang Patkar and UBA member Prof.Satyesh Kakodkar for their active involvement in making this webinar a success. The webinar was well coordinated by Romeo D’Cruz, Administrator (IT) and Amit Sapkal, Technical Assistant, DBCE. The webinar was well appreciated by all the teachers.
