A guest talk on ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) was delivered by Ms. Maria Choudary, Principal MTS at Oracle, on 29th January 2026 for Second Year Computer Engineering students. The session aimed to familiarize students with the role of ACM in advancing computing research, education, and innovation at a global level.

During the talk, the speaker explained the significance of ACM as a professional body and highlighted its contributions to the computing community. She elaborated on the various benefits of ACM membership, including access to reputed journals, online courses, webinars, global networking opportunities, student chapters, technical competitions, and career development resources. The importance of continuous learning and professional engagement in the field of computer engineering was emphasized throughout the session.

The talk encouraged students to join ACM and actively participate in its activities to enhance their technical knowledge, professional skills, and career prospects. The session proved to be informative and motivating for the students.

The talk was organized by the Computer Engineering Department in association with C-CODES and the ACM Students Chapter. The event was coordinated by Prof. Sweta Morajkar, Prof. Merwyn D’Souza, and Dr. Gaurang Patkar.
