BE Computer Students attend YACC(Yet another Compiler Compiler Workshop)

C Codes Students Association in association with Computer Engineering Department conducted a  workshop on “YACC-Yet another Compiler Compiler” for BE Computer Students on 24^th August,2019.Resource person for this workshop was Prof.Sweta Morajkar, Assistant Professor, Computer Engineering Department and Coordinator was Prof. Merwyn D’souza. The workshop was conducted from 2-3.30 pm in BE Computer Class. A total of 32 participants attended this workshop.

Workshop started with introduction to Parsing techniques used in compilers. Students were then given introduction to YACC tool which is used as parser generator. An overview of program structure along with the functions, Commands used for running Lex and YACC was given. Some program constructs validation like for and if was also demonstrated. The session ended with interactive questions and answers.
