Best Project Award!
The project Library Management Robotic System from the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering won the Best Project Award, for the 5th National Level IEEE Project Competition. This project is a joint venture between Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) and Forum for Innovation Incubation Research & Entrepreneurship (FiiRE) under the Let’s Solve Your Problem (LSYP) Initiative.
The project is being executed by Mr. Kingsley Fernandes, Mr. Renvick Fernandes and Mr. Jhurran Francis, under the guidance of Prof. Yeshudas Muttu and Prof. Flavia Leitao.
In a conventional library system, finding, issuing and returning books is very much time-consuming. Therefore the Library Management Robotic System aims at automating these tasks with the help of a Robot, thereby reducing the efforts and time spent by the users and librarians through a Smart Library system. It also helps to maintain the status of all the books in the library database.
Among the 1000 plus entries, this project won the Best Project Award, for the 5th IEEE National Level Project Competition-2021 under the Embedded Systems domain, organized by GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysuru IEEE Student Branch in association with IEEE Bangalore Section and IEEE Mysore Sub Section on June 26, 2021, Co-Sponsored by IEEE Circuits & Systems Society Bangalore Chapter.
