COMPUTER STUDENTS ATTEND ONLINE WEBINAR “STUDY FROM HOME “(Beyond Syllabus)
C-CODES in association with the Department of Computer Engineering and the Alumni Committee, Don Boco College of Engineering on June 12, 2021, organised a webinar on “STUDY FROM HOME” conducted by alumnus Miss Vaishnavi Kamat Dhakankar (2016 batch) currently working at Persistent Systems, Verna, Goa as a team lead. Miss Vaishnavi was a Goa university topper in Computer Engineering for the year 2016. The webinar was held for the students of the computer department via Google Meet under the guidance of Prof. Merwyn D’Souza and Prof. Siya Naik.
The speaker Miss Vaishnavi spoke about the concept of “Study from Home” and how to deal with it. Vaishnavi spoke how “Study from Home” could translate to “Work from Home in the future” as most of the IT companies nowadays provide “work from home” facility for employees. She asked students to sit in a designated study area for attending online classes by preparing a schedule for study as well as leisure activities. The speaker Vaishnavi emphasized the importance of health- both physical and mental and about the importance of talking to friends and family in case of any kind of stress. The students were told about finding new hobbies and how these hobbies could translate into business opportunities. The session concluded with a Q&A session. Prof. Merwyn thanked the speaker for her valuable time and for sharing her experience and tips about “study from home”.
