DBCE Faculty Invited as Chief Guest for “Mathelete 2025

Mrs Vaishali Parakhi, Mathematics faculty member in the Department of Science and Humanities, was invited as the Chief Guest and Resource Person for the event “Mathelete 2025 – Celebration of Mathematical Brilliance” organized by Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim, South Goa on 17th December 2025. The objective of the event was to create awareness about the importance of Mathematics and to motivate students to develop interest in the subject. In her address, she highlighted the role of Mathematics in developing logical and analytical thinking and emphasized its applications in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and other future technologies, describing Mathematics as the language of the future.
The programme included a Mathematics quiz, fashion show, Mathematics project exhibition, skit and other activities performed by the school children, which made the event lively and educational. The session was interactive and engaging, and students actively participated throughout the programme. At the end, prizes were distributed to the winners of the various events held. The event was well organized and successfully achieved its aim of promoting mathematical thinking among young learners.
