DBCE Faculty Participate in Academic Leadership Programme (ALP) – Batch 2, Phase 3

The Directorate of Higher Education, Goa, in collaboration with the Goa State Higher Education Council (GSHEC), has successfully launched Batch 2, Phase 3 of the Academic Leadership Programme (ALP), a week-long session (December 6–12, 2025), a flagship initiative aimed at strengthening academic leadership, governance, and technology integration among senior faculty members.

Among the 30 distinguished participants selected from colleges across Goa, Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) is proud to be represented by Dr. Suraj Marathe, Dr. Gaurang Patkar, and Dr. Shwetha P., reflecting the institution’s continued commitment to leadership development and academic excellence.

The programme was formally inaugurated at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali, by Dr. Aarushi Jain, Policy Director & Head – Government Affairs, BIPP, ISB, and Prof. Dr. Niyan Marchon, Professor & Program Director, Directorate of Higher Education, Goa.

Phase 3 of the ALP focused on Strategic and Emotional Leadership, aligning higher education institutions with the objectives of NEP 2020. The programme featured expert-led sessions by eminent academicians and practitioners from ISB, covering leadership in a VUCA world, emotional intelligence, strategic communication, Indian knowledge systems, and effective decision-making.

An institutional exposure visit to Shimla enriched the learning experience. Interactions at Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV), and the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) provided valuable insights into governance, research strengthening, innovative academic initiatives, and institutional best practices.

The programme also highlighted policy-driven collaborations, with discussions on BIPP–State Government partnerships and Goa’s strategic roadmap for NEP 2020 implementation and research advancement.

DBCE’s participation in this prestigious programme underscores its dedication to nurturing visionary academic leaders and contributing meaningfully to the transformation of higher education in Goa.
