DBCE Futsal League “Auction” held

The Sports Department at Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) organized a fun “Auction” session to determine the teams that will participate in the “DBCE Futsal League” to commence soon. Unlike the recently held interclass competition where players had to represent their class, here students will be allotted a team via the auction.

The “Auction” is a unique way to determine the participants of a team. 6 teams and the captains were chosen prior. The other 70 participants were all placed in the auction pool. Instead of cash, captains were given 12000 points to buy 9 boys and 2 girls from the auction pool. The whole event turned out to be a great success with all 6 teams trying to outbid each other to get their desired player in the team.

Ignatius D’Silva turned out to be the most expensive player in the auction as he was bought for 2450 points by Team Falcons led by Nimish Noronha. Other teams that participated were  Dynamos led by Stalan Braganza, Demolishers led by Samson Couthino, Tigers led by Simron Rodrigues, Panthers led by Rohan Viegas and Strikers Lenny Vaz.
