DBCE Mechanical Alumni participate in “Kalpak”, Project Exhibition
DBCE Alumni of the Department of Mechanical Engineering participated in “Kalpak”, a three day exhibition of innovative projects in Science, Engineering, Arts and Social Sciences, from February 26 – February 28, 2020, organised by the Directorate of Higher Education at Adil Shah palace (Old Secretariat), Panaji. Deepak Kolur, Saideep Naik and Harshad Kawlekar displayed their “Disabled friendly Robotic wheel Chair”, while Rajat Halarnekar and Shivdas Gaad presented their “Glass Powdering and Grading Machine for Industrial Applications”.
Kalpak showcased research projects by college students, in the form of working models and posters, as well as interactive exhibits. In addition to innovative solutions by Goan innovators, public talks by eminent experts were also held. The prime goal of organizing Kalpak was to provide a unique platform for students to showcase their talents and interact with fellow innovators, eventually building future research collaborations.
Kalpak brought academicians, innovators, and public on a single platform and is one of the several initiatives taken by the Directorate of Higher Education, in order to promote research and education in the state of Goa.
The Wheelchair was guided by Prof. Swapnil Ramani and Prof. Ajit Salunke while the glass powdering machine was guided by Prof. Suraj Marathe.
