DBCE Shines at CONVERGE 2.0: Academia-Industry Summit 2025

The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) and the Goa State Higher Education Council (GSHEC) successfully hosted CONVERGE 2.0 – Shiksha Udyojak Sangam, an Academia-Industry Summit 2025, which commenced on 4th March 2025 in Goa in the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.

As part of CONVERGE 2.0, the Innovative Idea Challenge was launched by the DHE, providing a dynamic platform to foster creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking among students and aspiring innovators.

During the inaugural ceremony at Raj Bhavan, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant felicitated Mr. Sai Rane, a third-year Computer Engineering studentat DBCE, for his outstanding project titled “Neural Kissan.” Dr. Sawant commended Mr. Rane for his innovative contribution to the field.

Additionally, DBCE students Mr. Kudan Mahale and Mr. Sanket Lalangutkar presented their project “Exoskeleton Arm” at Raj Bhavan, showcasing their research and development efforts.

Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal of DBCE, was a distinguished panelist at the event, contributing her insights on academia-industry collaboration.

Several esteemed faculty members from DBCE, including Dr. Suraj Marathe, Dr. Norman Dias, Dr. Shreyas Simu, and Prof. Satyesh Kakodkar, were present for the summit, representing the institution’s commitment to innovation and academic excellence.

CONVERGE 2.0 continues to serve as a bridge between academia and industry, facilitating dialogue, innovation, and future collaborations to drive technological advancements and entrepreneurial ventures.
