The project aims at saving the life of soldiers with a smart band and advanced technology. The proposed device will record the real-time data of the heartbeat of soldiers and if it matches the distressed algorithm, GPS data of the soldier will be sent to the central hub or the base camp. The base camp will then send an Ambucopter to the specified point by giving the GPS coordinates of the soldier as the input using telemetry concept. Quad copter will consist of medication facility embedded in a box. There will be also an injecting mechanism which will inject medicines in case of any emergency situations. A similar protocol will be followed when the soldier presses the emergency button which is provided on the smart band. The students have developed a prototype of the device which was exhibited in the expo.
The students worked under the mentorship of Prof. Saurabh Raikar, Asst. Professor with support from Prof. Ajit Salunke, HOD-Mechanical Department. The students are thankful to Fr. Kinley D’ Cruz, Director and Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal for the encouragement received.
